✧ Aisha said: Blessed is the One whose hearing encompasses all things. Indeed, I could hear the words of Khawla bt. Tha'laba, though some of it was hidden from me, as she complained about her husband to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. She said, 'O Messenger of Allah, he consumed my youth and I bore children for him, until when my age advanced and my bearing ceased, he declared zihar against me. O Allah, I complain to You.' Aisha said: She did not leave until Jibril ﷺ descended with these verses: {Allah has certainly heard the statement of the one who pleads with you concerning her husband.} [Al-Mujadila 1] He said: Her husband was Aws b. al-Samit.
