حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَهَّابِ ثنا يَعْلَى بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ ثنا ابْنُ إِسْحَاقَ عَنِ الصَّبَّاحِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ مُرَّةَ
عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ {أَهُمْ يَقْسِمُونَ رَحْمَةَ رَبِّكَ نَحْنُ قَسَمْنَا بَيْنَهُمُ} [الزخرف 32] الْآيَةُ فَقَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «إِنَّ اللَّهَ قَسَمَ بَيْنَكُمْ أَخْلَاقَكُمْ كَمَا قَسَمَ بَيْنَكُمْ أَرْزَاقَكُمْ وَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لَيُعْطِي الدُّنْيَا مَنْ أَحَبِّ وَمَنْ لَا يُحِبُّ وَلَا يُعْطِي الدِّينَ إِلَّا مَنْ أَحَبِّ فَمَنْ أَعْطَاهُ الدِّينَ فَقَدْ أَحَبَّهُ»

✧ On the authority of 'Abdullah regarding: "Do they distribute the mercy of your Lord? It is We who distribute among them" [Al-Zukhruf: 32] - the verse. 'Abdullah said: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: "Indeed Allah has distributed your characters among you just as He distributed your provisions among you. And indeed Allah gives the world to whom He loves and to whom He does not love, but He does not give the religion except to whom He loves. So whoever He gives the religion, He has loved him."
