فَحَدَّثْنَاهُ يَحْيَى بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ الْقَاضِي وَيَحْيَى بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْعَنْبَرِيُّ وَأَبُو النَّضْرِ الْفَقِيهُ وَالْحَسَنُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ الْعَدْلُ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الْمُزَكِّي قَالُوا ثنا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْعَبْدِيُّ ثنا أَبُو بَكْرٍ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يَزِيدَ الدِّمَشْقِيُّ ثنا صَدَقَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الدِّمَشْقِيُّ قَالَ جِئْتُ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ الْمُنْكَدِرِ وَأَنَا مُغْضَبٌ فَقُلْتُ آللَّهِ أَنْتَ أَحْلَلْتَ لِلْوَلِيدِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ أُمَّ سَلَمَةَ؟ قَالَ
أَنَا وَلَكِنْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ حَدَّثَنِي جَابِرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «لَا طَلَاقَ لِمَنْ لَا يَمْلِكُ وَلَا عِتْقَ لِمَنْ لَا يَمْلِكُ»

✧ I am but the Messenger of Allah ﷺ told me, Jabir b. Abdullah al-Ansari, that he heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: "There is no divorce for one who does not possess, and no emancipation for one who does not possess."
