حَدَّثَنِي عَلِيُّ بْنُ حَمْشَاذَ الْعَدْلُ أَخْبَرَنِي يَزِيدُ بْنُ الْهَيْثَمِ ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ أَبِي اللَّيْثِ ثنا الْأَشْجَعِيُّ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ قَالَ سَأَلَنِي ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ

عَنْ قَوْلِ اللَّهِ ﷻ {وَلَذِكْرُ اللَّهِ أَكْبَرُ} [العنكبوت 45] فَقُلْتُ ذِكْرُ اللَّهِ بِالتَّسْبِيحِ وَالتَّهْلِيلِ وَالتَّكْبِيرِ فَقَالَ «لَا ذِكْرَ اللَّهِ أَكْبَرُ مِنْ ذِكْرِكُمْ إِيَّاهُ» صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ وَلَمْ يُخْرِجَاهُ صحيح

✧ About the words of Allah, Exalted is He, {And the remembrance of Allah is greater} [Al-Ankabut 45]. I said, "The remembrance of Allah is by glorification, tahlil, and takbir." He said: "No; the remembrance of Allah is greater than your remembering Him." Sahih according to the condition of the two shaykhs, but they did not record it. Sahih al-isnad, and they did not record it.
