✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to visit me while I was ill among Banu Salama. I said, "O Messenger of Allah, how should I divide my wealth among my children?" He did not reply to me. Then the verse {Allah instructs you concerning your children} [An-Nisa: 11] was revealed. The two Shaykhs agreed on transmitting the hadith of Shu'ba from Muhammad b. al-Munkadir on this topic with different wording. This chain is authentic, but they did not include it, though they included its origin.
