✧ When Allah revealed {And do not approach the orphan's property except in the best way} [Al-An'am: 152] and {Indeed, those who devour the property of orphans unjustly are only consuming fire into their bellies, and they will burn in a Blaze} [An-Nisa: 10], those who had an orphan with them separated his food from their food and his drink from their drink. As a result, some of his food and drink would remain and be kept until he ate it or it spoiled. That became difficult for them, so they mentioned it to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. Then Allah revealed {And they ask you about orphans. Say, "Improvement for them is best. And if you mix with them, they are your brothers"} [Al-Baqarah: 220]. So they mixed their food with their food and their drink with their drink.
