حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ عَفَّانَ الْعَامِرِيُّ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ فُضَيْلٍ ثنا الْحَسْنُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ عَنِ السُّدِّيِّ عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ قَالَ

لَقِيتُ خَالِي وَمَعَهُ الرَّايَةُ قُلْتُ أَيْنَ تُرِيدُ؟ قَالَ «بَعَثَنِي النَّبِيُّ ﷺ إِلَى رَجُلٍ تَزَوَّجَ امْرَأَةَ أَبِيهِ مِنْ بَعْدِهِ فَأَمَرَنِي أَنْ أَضْرِبَ عُنُقَهُ»

✧ I met my maternal uncle carrying the banner. I said: Where do you intend? He said: «The Prophet ﷺ sent me to a man who married his father's wife after him, and he ordered me to strike his neck.»
