أَخْبَرَنَاهُ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الْقَطِيعِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ثنا شُعْبَةُ عَنِ أَبِي الرَّبِيعِ الرُّكَيْنِ بْنِ الرَّبِيعِ بْنِ عَمِيلَةَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَدِيَّ بْنَ ثَابِتٍ يُحَدِّثُ عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ قَالَ

مَرَّ بِنَا نَاسٌ يَنْطَلِقُونَ فَقُلْنَا لَهُمْ أَيْنَ تَذْهَبُونَ؟ قَالُوا بَعَثَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِلَى «رَجُلٍ يَأْتِي امْرَأَةَ أَبِيهِ أَنْ نَقْتُلَهُ»

✧ Some people passed by us leaving, so we said to them: Where are you going? They said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent us to a man who has intercourse with his father's wife, to kill him.
