✧ When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ took spoils, he would order Bilal to call out among the people, and they would bring their spoils, and he would take a fifth and divide it. Then a man came after that with a hair rope and said, "O Messenger of Allah, this was among the spoils we obtained." He said, "Did you hear Bilal call out three times?" He said, "Yes." He said, "Then what prevented you from bringing it?" He said, "O Messenger of Allah," and he made an excuse. He said, "You will come with it on the Day of Resurrection, and I will never accept it from you."
