✧ When Allah ﷻ sent down {And do not approach the property of the orphan except in the way that is best} [al-An'ām 152] and {Indeed, those who devour the property of orphans unjustly} [al-Nisā' 10] up to His saying {a blazing fire} [al-Nisā' 10], he said: Those who had an orphan with them went and separated his food from their food and his drink from their drink, setting aside a portion of his food so it was kept for him until he ate it or it spoiled and they threw it away. That became hard on them, so they mentioned that to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and Allah ﷻ sent down {They ask you about orphans. Say: Setting things right for them is best. And if you mix with them, they are your brothers} [al-Baqarah 220] up to {Mighty, Wise} [al-Baqarah 220]. So they mixed their food with their food and their drink with their drink.
