فَحَدَّثَنِي قَالَ أَنْبَأَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ الْوَاسِطِيُّ ثنا أَبُو التَّقِيُّ هِشَامُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ الْيَزَنِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ عَنِ الزُّبَيْدِي حَدَّثَنِي سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ أَنَّهُ بَلَغَهُ

أَنَّ رَجُلًا سَأَلَ أَبَا ذَرٍّ مَا مَالُكَ؟ قَالَ مَالِي عَمَلِي ثُمَّ سَاقَ الْحَدِيثَ بِطُولِهِ وَقَدِ اتَّفَقَ الشَّيْخَانُ عَلَى إِخْرَاجِ حَدِيثِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «مِنْ أَنْفَقَ زَوْجَيْنِ مِنْ مَالِهِ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ» وَسِيَاقَتُهُ مُخَالِفَةٌ لِسَيَاقَةِ حَدِيثِ صَعْصَعَةَوفي الصحيحين من حديث أبي هريرة نحوه

✧ A man asked Abū Dharr, "What is your wealth?" He said, "My wealth is my work." Then he related the ḥadīth in full. The two Shaykhs (al-Bukhārī and Muslim) agreed in transmitting al-Zuhrī's ḥadīth from Ḥumayd b. ʿAbd al-Raḥmān, from Abū Hurayrah, that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Whoever spends a pair from his wealth in the way of Allah," but the wording of this version differs from that of Ṣaʿṣaʿah. In the two Ṣaḥīḥs, there is a similar report from Abū Hurayrah.
