✧ We gathered and discussed among ourselves which of us should go to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and ask him which deeds are most beloved to Allah. Then we dispersed, and we were in awe that any one of us should go to him. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent for us and gathered us, and some of us began gesturing to others. He recited to us: {Whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth exalts Allah} until the end of the surah. Abu Salamah said: 'Abdullah b. Salam recited it to us to its end. Yahya b. Abi Kathir said: Abu Salamah recited it to us from its beginning to its end. Mahbub said: Abu Ishaq recited it to us from its beginning to its end, meaning Surah al-Saff.
