✧ As for the saying of Abu Hurayrah

حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ صَالِحِ بْنِ هَانِئٍ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ نَصْرٍ ثنا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ الْفَضْلُ بْنُ دُكَيْنٍ ثنا بُكَيْرُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نُعَيْمٍ ثنا رَافِعُ بْنُ خَدِيجٍ

أَنَّهُ زَرَعَ أَرْضًا فَمَرَّ بِهِ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ وَهُوَ يَسْقِيهَا فَسَأَلَهُ «لِمَنِ الزَّرْعُ وَلِمَنِ الْأَرْضُ؟» فَقَالَ زَرْعِي بِبَذْرِي وَعَمَلِي لِيَ الشَّطْرُ وَلِبَنِي فُلَانٍ الشَّطْرُ فَقَالَ «أَرْبَيْتُمَا فَرُدَّ الْأَرْضَ عَلَى أَهْلِهَا وَخُذْ نَفَقَتَكَ»

✧ He cultivated some land, and the Prophet ﷺ passed by him while he was watering it. He asked him: "For whom is the crop and for whom is the land?" He said: My crop with my seed and my labor; I get half and the family of so-and-so get half. He said: "You have dealt in usury. Return the land to its owners and take your expenses."
