✧ When his companions gathered around him and he wanted to get up, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ would say: 'Glory be to You, O Allah, and with Your praise. I bear witness that there is no god but You. I seek Your forgiveness and I turn to You in repentance. I have done wrong and have wronged myself, so forgive me, for none forgives sins except You.' We said: 'O Messenger of Allah, are these words you have newly introduced?' He said: 'Yes. Jibril came to me and said: O Muhammad, these are an expiation for gatherings.'
