أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ الْحَنْظَلِيُّ بِبَغْدَادَ ثنا أَبُو قِلَابَةَ الرَّقَاشِيُّ ثنا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ النَّبِيلُ ثنا عُثْمَانُ الشَّحَّامُ حَدَّثَنِي مُسْلِمُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرَةَ قَالَ
سَمِعَنِي أَبِي وَأَنَا أَقُولُ «اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْهَمِّ وَالْكَسَلِ وَعَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ» فَقَالَ يَا بُنَيَّ مِمَّنْ سَمِعْتَ هَذَا؟ قُلْتُ سَمِعْتُكَ تَقُولُهُنَّ قَالَ «الْزَمْهُنَّ فَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُهُنَّ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُهُنَّ»

✧ My father heard me saying: "O Allah, I seek refuge in You from anxiety, laziness, and the punishment of the grave." He said: O my son, from whom did you hear this? I said: I heard you saying them. He said: "Hold fast to them, for I heard them from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying them."
