حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ أَنْبَأَنَا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ مَزْيَدٍ الْبَيْرُوتِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ شُعَيْبِ بْنِ شَابُورَ ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ يَزِيدَ بْنِ جَابِرٍ ثنا خَالِدُ بْنُ اللَّجْلَاجِ ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَايِشٍ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ قَالَ
سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ وَذَكَرَ الرَّبَّ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى فَقَالَ قُلِ اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ الطَّيِّبَاتِ وَتَرْكَ الْمُنْكَرَاتِ وَحُبَّ الْمَسَاكِينِ وَأَنْ تَتُوبَ عَلَيَّ وَتَغْفِرَ لِي وَتَرْحَمَنِي وَإِذَا أَرَدْتَ فِتْنَةً فِي قَوْمٍ فَتَوَفَّنِي غَيْرَ مَفْتُونٍ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «فَعَلِّمُوهُنَّ فَوَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ إِنَّهُنَّ الْحَقُّ»

✧ I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, and he mentioned the Lord, Blessed and Exalted, saying: 'Say: O Allah, I ask You for good things, and the abandonment of evil deeds, and love of the poor, and that You accept my repentance, forgive me, and have mercy on me. And if You intend a trial for a people, then take me to You without being tried.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then said: 'Teach them, for by the One in whose hand is my soul, they are the truth.'
