✧ I heard Abū Thaʿlabah al-Khushanī say: “The Messenger of Allah ﷺ returned from a military expedition and entered the mosque, where he prayed two rakʿahs. He liked, when he returned from a journey, to enter the mosque and pray two rakʿahs in it before leaving.” Then he went to Fāṭimah and began with her. She received him and started kissing his face and his eyes. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to her, “What is with you?” She said, “O Messenger of Allah, I see that your complexion has become pale.” The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to her, “O Fāṭimah, Allah (mighty and sublime be He) has sent your father with a command by which He has brought honor or humiliation to every house of mud or hair on the face of the earth, until it reaches wherever the night reaches.”
