✧ We set out with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in three groups. Among us were those who entered ihram for Hajj and Umrah together, among us were those who entered ihram for Hajj alone, and among us were those who entered ihram for Umrah. Whoever entered ihram for Hajj and Umrah together did not exit ihram from anything forbidden to him until he completed the rites of Hajj. Whoever entered ihram for Hajj alone did not exit ihram from anything until he completed the rites of Hajj. Whoever entered ihram for Umrah, circumambulated the House and went between al-Safa and al-Marwa, exited ihram, then initiated the Hajj.
