حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي دَاوُدَ الْمُنَادِي ثنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ أَنْبَأَنَا أَبُو غَسَّانَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُطَرِّفٍ عَنْ حَسَّانَ بْنِ عَطِيَّةَ عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ الْبَاهِلِيِّ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ

«الْحَيَاءُ وَالْعِيُّ شُعْبَتَانِ مِنَ الْإِيمَانِ وَالْبَذَاءُ وَالْبَيَانُ شُعْبَتَانِ مِنَ النِّفَاقِ»

Shyness and hesitation in speech are two branches of Iman, ˹while˺ crudeness and ˹bluntness˺ are two branches of hypocrisy."
