✧ I heard Abū Umāmah say: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood among us during the Farewell Pilgrimage, mounted on his she-camel al-Jadʿāʾ, with his feet placed in the stirrups, stretching himself to make the people hear him. He said: "Do you hear my voice?" A man from among the groups of people said: "What do you command us?" He said: "Worship your Lord, perform your five prayers, fast your month, pay the zakāh of your wealth, and obey those in authority over you, and you will enter the Paradise of your Lord." He (the sub-narrator) said: I said: "O Abū Umāmah, how old were you then?" He said: "I, O son of my brother, was then thirty years old. I was pushing the camel aside, drawing it close to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ."
