✧ “Indeed among my Ummah there are four matters of the pre-Islamic era that they will not abandon: boasting about lineages, defaming genealogies, seeking rain by the stars, and wailing over the dead. Indeed the wailing woman, if she does not repent before she rises, she will rise on the Day of Resurrection wearing garments of tar, then over them will boil coats of flame from the Fire.”
Notes
machine translation"This is an authentic (ṣaḥīḥ) hadith meeting the criteria of the two Shaykhs. Muslim has recorded the hadith of Abān b. Zayd from Yaḥyā b. Abī Kathīr, and it is abridged. The two did not record it with the additions found in the hadith of ʿAlī b. al-Mubārak, though it meets their criteria."

machine translationYaḥyā b. Abī Kathīr narrates it, and there is disagreement about him. Abān al-ʿAṭṭār and ʿAlī b. al-Mubārak narrated it from Yaḥyā, from Zayd b. Sallām, from Abū Sallām, from Abū Mālik. Maʿmar differed from them and narrated it from Yaḥyā, from Ibn Muʿāniq or Abū Muʿāniq, from Abū Mālik al-Ashʿarī. The hadith of Abū Sallām is closer to the correct one.
