✧ Ibn ʿUmar from Saʿīd b. Zayd. The beginning of the Musnad of Saʿīd b. Zayd b. ʿAmr b. Nufayl. Ibn ʿUmar, from Saʿīd b. Zayd. 1264 1248 – ʿUmar b. ʿAlī and Bishr b. Ādam narrated to us, both said: Abū ʿAlī al-Ḥanafī ʿUbayd Allāh b. ʿAbd al-Majīd narrated to us, he said: ʿAbd Allāh b. ʿUmar narrated to us, from Nāfiʿ, from Ibn ʿUmar, from Saʿīd b. Zayd.

✧ Whoever seizes the property of a Muslim by his oath, there is no blessing for him in it. And whoever aligns himself with a people without the permission of his masters, upon him is the curse of Allah; Allah will accept from him neither sarf nor adl.

دَخَلْتُ عَلَى سَعِيدِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، وَقَالَ: أَلَا تَعْجَبُ مِنْ هَذَا الظَّالِمِ ؟ أَقَامَ خُطَبَاءَ يَشْتِمُونَ عَلِيًّا، قَالَ: قَدْ فَعَلُوهُ ؟ أَوْ قَدْ فَعَلَهُ ؟ أَشْهَدُ أَنَّ تِسْعَةً فِي الْجَنَّةِ، قُلْتُ: مَنِ التِّسْعَةُ ؟ قَالَ: كُنَّا مَعَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ عَلَى حِرَاءٍ، فَتَحَرَّكَ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: اثْبُتْ حِرَاءُ، فَمَا عَلَيْكَ إِلَّا نَبِيٌّ، وَصِدِّيقٌ، وَشَهِيدٌ، قُلْتُ: وَمَنْ كَانَ عَلَى حِرَاءٍ ؟ قَالَ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ، وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ، وَعُمَرُ، وَعُثْمَانُ، وَعَلِيٌّ، وَسَعْدٌ، وَطَلْحَةُ، وَالزُّبَيْرُ، وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَوْفٍ، قُلْتُ: فَمَنِ الْعَاشِرُ ؟ قَالَ: أَنَا
✧ I entered upon Sa'id b. Zayd, and he said: 'Do you not wonder at this oppressor? He has set up preachers who revile 'Ali.' He said: 'They have done it? Or he has done it? I bear witness that nine are in Paradise.' I said: 'Who are the nine?' He said: 'We were with the Prophet ﷺ on Hira', and it trembled, so the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Be still, Hira', for upon you are none but a Prophet, a Siddiq, and martyrs." I said: 'And who were on Hira'?' He said: 'The Messenger of Allah ﷺ, Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman, Ali, Sa'd, Talhah, al-Zubayr, and Abd al-Rahman b. Awf.' I said: 'Then who is the tenth?' He said: 'Me.'

مَرَّ زَيْدُ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ نُفَيْلٍ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ، وَمَعَهُ زَيْدُ بْنُ حَارِثَةَ فَدَعَوَاهُ إِلَى سُفْرَةٍ لَهُمَا، فَقَالَ: يَا ابْنَ أَخِي إِنِّي لَا آكُلُ مِمَّا ذُبِحَ عَلَى النُّصُبِ قَالَ: فَمَا رُئِيَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمِ أَكَلَ مِمَّا ذُبِحَ عَلَى النُّصُبِ
✧ Zayd b. Amr b. Nufayl passed by the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while he had with him Zayd b. Harithah, and they invited him to a meal of theirs, but he said: 'O son of my brother, I do not eat from what is slaughtered upon the stone altars.' He said: 'After that day, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was never seen eating from what was slaughtered upon the stone altars.'

أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ، فَقَالَ: إِنَّ أَبِي كَمَا قَدْ رَأَيْتَ، وَكَمَا قَدْ بَلَغَكَ، وَلَوْ أَدْرَكَكَ آمَنَ بِكَ، فَاسْتَغْفِرْ لَهُ، فَقَالَ: نَعَمْ، فَإِنَّهُ يَجِيءُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ أُمَّةً وَاحِدَةً
✧ He asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, saying: 'My father was as you have seen and as you have heard about; had he lived to see you, he would have believed in you. So ask forgiveness for him.' He said: 'Yes, for he will come on the Day of Resurrection as a nation alone.'
