   لَقِيتُ امْرَأَةً فَالْتَزَمْتُهَا غَيْرَ أَنِّي لَمْ أَنْكِحْهَا، فَأَتَيْتُ عُمَرَ فَسَأَلْتُهُ فَقَالَ: اتَّقِ اللهَ وَاسْتُرْ عَلَى نَفْسِكَ وَلَا تُخْبِرَنَّ أَحَدًا قَالَ: فَلَمْ أَصْبِرْ حَتَّى أَتَيْتُ أَبَا بَكْرٍ فَسَأَلْتُهُ، فَقَالَ: اتَّقِ اللهَ وَاسْتُرْ عَلَى نَفْسِكَ وَلَا تُخْبِرَنَّ أَحَدًا، فَلَمْ أَصْبِرْ حَتَّى أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَأَخْبَرْتُهُ فَقَالَ: هَلْ جَهَّزْتَ غَازِيًا ؟ " قُلْتُ: لَا، قَالَ: " فَخَلَفْتَ غَازِيًا فِي أَهْلِهِ ؟ " قُلْتُ: لَا، فَقَالَ لِي حَتَّى تَمَنَّيْتُ أَنِّي كُنْتُ دَخَلْتُ فِي الْإِسْلَامِ تِلْكَ السَّاعَةَ، فَلَمَّا وَلَّيْتُ دَعَانِي فَقَرَأَ عَلَيَّ: وَأَقِمِ الصَّلاةَ طَرَفَيِ النَّهَارِ وَزُلَفًا مِنَ اللَّيْلِ، فَقَالَ أَصْحَابُهُ: أَلِهَذَا خَاصَّةً أَمْ لِلنَّاسِ عَامَّةً قَالَ: " بَلْ لِلنَّاسِ عَامَّةً

   ✧ I met a woman and embraced her, except that I did not have intercourse with her. Then I came to Umar and asked him about it, and he said: Fear Allah and conceal your own fault, and do not tell anyone. He said: I could not bear it until I came to Abu Bakr and asked him, and he said: Fear Allah and conceal your own fault, and do not tell anyone. I could not bear it until I came to the Prophet ﷺ and informed him of it. He said: Have you equipped a warrior for an expedition? I said: No. He said: Have you taken the place of a warrior with his family? I said: No. He said to me something until I wished that I had entered Islam at that very moment. When I turned away, he called me and recited to me: “And establish prayer at the two ends of the day and at the approaches of the night.” His companions said: Is this for him specifically or for the people in general? He said: Rather for the people in general.

   " نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ، أَنْ يُنْبَذَ التَّمْرُ وَالزَّبِيبُ جَمِيعًا

   أَنَّ رَجُلًا قَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، دُلَّنِي عَلَى عَمَلٍ يُدْخِلُنِي الْجَنَّةَ قَالَ: " أَمْسِكْ هَذَا؛ وَأَشَارَ إِلَى لِسَانِهِ " فَأَعَادَهَا عَلَيْهِ، فَقَالَ: ثَكِلَتْكَ أُمُّكَ، هَلْ يَكُبُّ النَّاسَ عَلَى مَنَاخِرِهِمْ فِي النَّارِ إِلَّا حَصَائِدُ أَلْسِنَتِهِمْ

   ✧ A man said: O Messenger of Allah, guide me to a deed that will admit me into Paradise. He said: “Hold this,” and he pointed to his tongue. The man repeated the question, and he said: “May your mother lose you! Do people plunge on their faces into the Fire except because of what their tongues reap?”

   " إِنَّ الرَّجُلَ لَيُصَلِّي الصَّلَاةَ لَهُ نِصْفُهَا، ثُلُثُهَا، رُبُعُهَا، خُمُسُهَا، سُدُسُهَا، سُبُعُهَا، ثُمُنُهَا، تُسْعُهَا، عُشْرُهَا

   ✧ Indeed, a man prays a prayer and has half of it, a third of it, a quarter of it, a fifth of it, a sixth of it, a seventh of it, an eighth of it, a ninth of it, a tenth of it.

   رَآنِي أَبُو الْيَسَرِ وَأَنَا أُصَلِّي صَلَاةَ الضُّحَى حِينَ طَلَعَتِ الشَّمْسُ، فَنَهَانِي، ثُمَّ قَالَ: إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ: لَا تُصَلُّوا حَتَّى تَرْتَفِعَ الشَّمْسُ، فَإِنَّهَا تَطْلُعُ بَيْنَ قَرْنَيِ الشَّيْطَانِ

   ✧ Abu al-Yasar saw me while I was praying the Duha prayer when the sun had risen, and he forbade me, then said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Do not pray until the sun has risen high, for it rises between the two horns of Satan.
