   لَوْ كَانَ الْإِيمَانُ مُعَلَّقًا بِالثُّرَيَّا لَنَالَهُ نَاسٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ فَارِسَ

   ✧ If faith were suspended from the Pleiades, people from the people of Persia would attain it.

   أَمَرَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَنْ نُخْرِجَ زَكَاةَ الْفِطْرِ قَبْلَ أَنْ تَنْزِلَ الزَّكَاةُ، فَلَمَّا نَزَلَتِ الزَّكَاةُ لَمْ يَأْمُرْنَا وَلَمْ يَنْهَنَا، وَنَحْنُ نَفْعَلُهُ

   ✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded us to give the Zakat al-Fitr before the zakat was revealed. When the zakat was revealed, he neither commanded us nor forbade us, and we still do it.

   أَتَانَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَوَضَعْنَا لَهُ مَاءً فَاغْتَسَلَ، ثُمَّ أَتَيْنَاهُ بِمِلْحَفَةٍ وَرْسِيَّةٍ فَالْتَحَفَ بِهَا، فَكَأَنِّي أَنْظُرُ إِلَى أَثَرِ الْوَرْسِ عَلَى عُكَنِهِ

   ✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to us, so we prepared water for him and he bathed. Then we brought him a wars-dyed wrap, and he wrapped himself in it. It is as if I am looking at the trace of the wars on the folds of his stomach.

   مَنْ كَذَبَ عَلَيَّ كَذْبَةً مُتَعَمِّدًا فَلْيَتَبَوَّأْ بَيْتًا مِنْ جَهَنَّمَ، أَوْ مَضْجَعًا مِنْ جَهَنَّمَ، أَلَا وَمَنْ شَرِبَ الْخَمْرَ أَتَى يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ عَطِشًا، وَكُلُّ مُسْكِرٍ خَمْرٌ، وَإِيَّاكُمْ وَالْغُبَيْرَاءَ

   ✧ Whoever deliberately tells a lie about me, let him take his place in a house in Hell, or a resting place in Hell. Indeed, whoever drinks wine will come on the Day of Resurrection thirsty, and every intoxicant is wine, and beware of the ghubayra'.

   كَانَ سَهْلُ بْنُ حُنَيْفٍ، وَقَيْسُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ قَاعِدَيْنِ بِالْقَادِسِيَّةِ، فَمَرَّتْ بِهِمَا جِنَازَةٌ، فَقَامَا، فَقِيلَ لَهُمَا: إِنَّمَا هُوَ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْأَرْضِ، فَقَالَا: إِنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ مَرَّتْ بِهِ جِنَازَةٌ فَقَامَ، فَقِيلَ: إِنَّهَا جِنَازَةُ كَافِرٍ، فَقَالَ: أَلَيْسَتْ نَفْسًا ؟

   ✧ Sahl b. Hunayf and Qays b. Sa'd were sitting at al-Qadisiyyah when a funeral procession passed by them, and they stood up. It was said to them: It is only one of the people of the land. They said: A funeral procession passed by the Prophet ﷺ and he stood up. It was said: It is the funeral of a disbeliever. He said: Is it not a soul?
