✧ The Prophet ﷺ returned to me one day from a funeral at al-Baqi' and found me suffering from a headache and saying, "O my head!" He said, "Rather I, O 'A'ishah, O my head!" He said, "What harm would it do you if you died before me, and I washed you, shrouded you, prayed over you, and buried you?" I said, "It is as if I can see you, by Allah, if you did that, you would return to my house and consummate marriage therein with one of your wives." She said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ smiled. Then the pain in which he died began.
