✧ What is permissible to do with the blood of a Muslim?

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو النُّعْمَانِ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ بْنِ سَهْلِ بْنِ حُنَيْفٍ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ

لَا يَحِلُّ دَمُ امْرِئٍ مُسْلِمٍ إِلَّا بِإِحْدَى ثَلَاثٍ بِكُفْرٍ بَعْدَ إِيمَانٍ أَوْ بِزِنًى بَعْدَ إِحْصَانٍ أَوْ يَقْتُلُ نَفْسًا بِغَيْرِ نَفْسٍ فَيُقْتَلُ

Translation

  6. Rasūl Allāh ﷺ

✧ The blood of a Muslim man is not lawful except for one of three reasons: disbelief after faith, adultery after being married, or killing a person without right, in which case he is killed.
