✧ In Breastfeeding of the Elder

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ أَشْعَثَ بْنِ سُلَيْمٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ دَخَلَ عَلَيْهَا وَعِنْدَهَا رَجُلٌ فَتَغَيَّرَ وَجْهُهُ وَكَأَنَّهُ كَرِهَ ذَلِكَ فَقُلْتُ إِنَّهُ أَخِي مِنَ الرَّضَاعَةِ فَقَالَ «انْظُرْنَ مَا إِخْوَانُكُنَّ فَإِنَّمَا الرَّضَاعَةُ مِنَ الْمَجَاعَةِ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered upon her while a man was with her. His face changed and he seemed to dislike that. I said: 'He is my brother through breastfeeding.' He said: 'Consider who your brothers are, for breastfeeding is only from hunger.'
