أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ أَدْهَمَ قَالَ
سَأَلْتُ ابْنَ شُبْرُمَةَ عَنْ شَيْءٍ وَكَانَتْ عِنْدِي مَسْأَلَةٌ شَدِيدَةٌ فَقُلْتُ رَحِمَكَ اللَّهُ انْظُرْ فِيهَا قَالَ «إِذَا وَضَحَ لِيَ الطَّرِيقُ وَوَجَدْتُ الْأَثَرَ لَمْ أَحْبَسْ»

✧ I asked Ibn Shubrumah about something – and I had a difficult question. I said: "May Allah have mercy on you, look into it." He said: "When the path becomes clear to me and I find the report, I do not hold back."
