✧ What is not permissible in sacrifice

أَخْبَرَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْحَارِثِ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ فَيْرُوزَ عَنْ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ قَالَ

سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ مَا يُتَّقَى مِنَ الضَّحَايَا؟ قَالَ «الْعَوْرَاءُ الْبَيِّنُ عَوَرُهَا وَالْعَرْجَاءُ الْبَيِّنُ ظَلْعُهَا وَالْمَرِيضَةُ الْبَيِّنُ مَرَضُهَا وَالْعَجْفَاءُ الَّتِي لَا تُنْقِي»

Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was asked what should be avoided in sacrificial animals. He said: “The one-eyed whose defect is obvious, the lame whose lameness is obvious, the sick whose sickness is obvious, and the emaciated one that has no marrow.”
