✧ We were detained on the Day of the Trench until a portion of the night had passed, until we were relieved—and that is the saying of Allah, Exalted is He: {And Allah sufficed the believers in battle, and Allah is ever Strong and Mighty} [al-Ahzāb 25]. The Prophet ﷺ called Bilāl and ordered him, so he gave the iqāmah and he prayed Ẓuhr, performing it well as he used to pray it in its time. Then he ordered him, so he gave the iqāmah for ʿAṣr and prayed it. Then he ordered him, so he gave the iqāmah for Maghrib and prayed it. Then he ordered him, so he gave the iqāmah for ʿIshāʾ and prayed it. That was before the revelation of {And if you fear, then [pray] on foot or riding} [al-Baqarah 239].
