✧ In the Night Prayer

أَخْبَرَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ

سَأَلَ رَجُلٌ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَنْ صَلَاةِ اللَّيْلِ فَقَالَ «مَثْنَى مَثْنَى فَإِذَا خَشِيَ أَحَدُكُمُ الصُّبْحَ فَلْيُصَلِّ رَكْعَةً وَاحِدَةً تُوتِرُ مَا قَدْ صَلَّى»

Translation

✧ A man asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about the night prayer, and he said, "Two units by two units. When one of you fears the coming of dawn, he should pray one unit, making odd what he has already prayed."
