  • al-Tirmidhi

machine translationThis is not sound (ṣaḥīḥ) because it is broken (munqaṭiʿ) between Nāfiʿ and ʿUmar.

  • Ibn Ḥajar al-ʿAsqalānī

machine translationThe imams of hadith agreed that Ḥammād erred in raising it to the Prophet (marfūʿ), and that the correct position is that it is a statement stopping at ʿUmar b. al-Khaṭṭāb (mawqūf).

    in سنن الدارقطني, p. 954
  • Ibn al-Qaṭṭān
