✧ There was a man from the people of Sana'a who would outrun people every year. When he arrived, he found seven men drinking wine with his slave woman. They seized him and killed him, then threw him into a well. The one who came after him was asked about him and was told that he had gone on before him. He said: The men went to the privy, and he saw flies entering through the hole of a millstone and then coming out of it. He knew that there was flesh in it, so he lifted the millstone and sent for the man's concubine, and she told him about the group. Then Umar wrote to him: 'Strike all their necks and kill her with them, for if the people of Sana'a had shared in his blood, I would have killed them all.'
