machine translationHe found it defective because of inconsistency (iḍṭirāb), and said that it is an error, and that the correct report is the narration of Ibn Jurayj from Sulaymān b. Mūsā as a mursal report (mursal).
in سنن الدارقطني, p. 345 - Dāraquṭnī
machine translationJābir is weak (ḍaʿīf), and there is disagreement about his narration: al-Ḥakam b. ʿAbdullāh Abū Muṭīʿ related it as a mursal report from Ibrāhīm b. Ṭahmān, from Jābir, from ʿAṭāʾ, and that is closer to being correct.
