What scholars said about it

In their own words, as Hadith Unlocked records them. They are shown, not summarised into a grade.

  • Abū Ḥatim al-Rāzī

machine translationThis is a mistake. It is only from Abū Saʿīd, as his own saying (mawqūf). Qatādah and a group of the memorizers (ḥuffāẓ) narrated it from Ḥumayd, from Abū al-Mutawakkil, from Abū Saʿīd, as his own saying.

    in سنن الدارقطني, p. 2269
  • Dāraquṭnī

    in سنن الدارقطني, p. 2269
  • Dāraquṭnī

machine translationThose who traced it back to the Prophet (rafaʿūhu) are trustworthy (thiqāt), and they added to it, and an addition from a trustworthy narrator is accepted.

    in سنن الدارقطني, p. 2269
  • Abū Ḥatim al-Rāzī

machine translationMuʿtamir also made an error in it.

  • Ibn Ḥajar al-ʿAsqalānī

machine translationIt was recorded by al-Nasāʾī, Ibn Khuzaymah and al-Dāraquṭnī, and its narrators are trustworthy (thiqāt), but there is disagreement about whether it is traced back to the Prophet (marfūʿ) or halted at the Companion (mawqūf).

    in سنن الدارقطني, p. 2269
  • Dāraquṭnī
