The dreams of women

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْيَمَانِ أَخْبَرَنَا شُعَيْبٌ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ بِهَذَا وَقَالَ

مَا أَدْرِي مَا يُفْعَلُ بِهِ قَالَتْ وَأَحْزَنَنِي فَنِمْتُ فَرَأَيْتُ لِعُثْمَانَ عَيْنًا تَجْرِي فَأَخْبَرْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ ذَلِكَ عَمَلُهُ

Translation

Regarding the above narration, The Prophet ﷺ said, "I do not know what Allah will do to him (Uthman bin Maz'un)." Um Al-ʿAla said, "I felt very sorry for that, and then I slept and saw in a dream a flowing spring for ʿUthman bin Maz'un, and told Messenger of Allah ﷺ of that, and he said, "That flowing spring symbolizes his good deeds."

    machine translationAbū al-Yamān narrated to us, Shuʿayb informed us, from al-Zuhrī, with this (report), and he said: "I do not know what will be done with him." She said: "And it grieved me, so I slept, and I saw for ʿUthmān a spring flowing. So I informed the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he said: 'That is his deeds.'"
