حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ سَالِمٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ؓ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ
لاَ عَدْوَى وَلاَ طِيَرَةَ وَالشُّؤْمُ فِي ثَلاَثٍ فِي الْمَرْأَةِ وَالدَّارِ وَالدَّابَّةِ

Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There is neither 'Adwa (no contagious disease is conveyed to others without Allah's permission) nor Tiyara, but an evil omen may be in three a woman, a house or an animal."

Narrators

- The jurist and memorizer (ḥāfiẓ), whose eminence, precision and reliability are agreed upond. Ḍamrah b. Rabīʿah and others said: 123 AH. The nephew of al-Zuhrī and others said: 124 AH. Ibn Yūnus and others said: 125 AHالزُّهْرِيِّالفقيه الحافظ ، متفق على جلالته وإتقانه وثبتهعن
- Trustworthy (thiqah), except that in his narration from al-Zuhrī there are slight errors (awhām), and in his narration from others there is error (khaṭaʾ)d. Ibn Saʿd said: 152 AH, al-Bukhārī and others: 159 AH (and it is the correct view), Muḥammad b. ʿAzīz said: 160 AHيُونُسُثقة ، إلا أن في روايته عن الزهري وهما قليلا ، وفي غير الزهري خطأحدثنا
- trustworthy (thiqah). It was said: Yaḥyā b. Saʿīd was not pleased with himd. 207 AH, or 208 AH, or 209 AHعُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَثقة . قيل : كان يحيى بن سعيد لا يرضاهحدثنا
