✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ held up a sword on the day of Uhud and said, "Who will take this sword with its due?" Abu Dujana Simak b. Kharasha stood up and said, "O Messenger of Allah, I will take it with its due. What is its due?" He said, "That you strike the enemy with it until it bends." So he gave it to him, and he went out. I followed him, and he did not pass by anything except he split it and tore it apart, until he came to some women at the foot of a mountain, among them Hind, who was saying: "We are the daughters of Tariq, we walk upon soft carpets, and musk is in the partings of our hair; if you advance, we embrace; or if you retreat, we part, a parting without love." He said, "Then he attacked her, and she called out, 'O people of Sakhr!' but no one answered her. So he turned back. I said to him, 'I have seen all that you did, and it pleased me except that you did not kill the woman.' He said, 'She called out and no one answered her, so I disliked to strike with the sword of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ a woman who has no helper.'"
