Musnad al-Bazzar 9375

Translation

✧ While a man was in a desert, he heard thunder in a cloud. He said: Then he heard a voice in the cloud: Water the garden of so-and-so Basim. So that cloud went to a stream and poured its water into it. He said: Then he went with the cloud until it reached a man standing in his garden. He said: What is your name, O servant of Allah? He said: I am so-and-so—by his name. He said: Then he said: What do you do with this garden of yours when you harvest it? He said: Since you have said that, I divide it into three thirds: I make one third for myself and my family, I return one third to it, and I give one third to the poor and the wayfarer.
