حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرٌو قَالَ: نَا يَحْيَى قَالَ: نَا ابْنُ عَجْلَانَ عَنْ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ; أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ

كَانَ إِذَا أَرَادَ سَفَرًا قَالَ: اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ الصَّاحِبُ فِي السَّفَرِ وَالْخَلِيفَةُ فِي الْأَهْلِ، اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ وَعْثَاءِ السَّفَرِ وَكَآبَةِ الْمُنْقَلَبِ وَسُوءِ الْمَنْظَرِ فِي الْأَهْلِ وَالْمَالِ، اللَّهُمَّ اطْوِ لَنَا الْأَرْضَ وَهَوِّنْ عَلَيْنَا السَّفَرَ

Translation

✧ When he intended to travel, he would say: “O God, You are the Companion in the journey and the Successor over the family. O God, I seek refuge with You from the hardship of travel, the gloom of return, and the evil sight in family and property. O God, fold the earth for us and make the journey easy for us.”
