✧ What Sa'id b. al-Musayyib narrated from Abu Hurayra

حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ الْجَرَوِيُّ، قَالَ: نَا أَيُّوبُ بْنُ سُوَيْدٍ الرَّمْلِيُّ، قَالَ: نَا يُونُسُ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:

إِنَّ الْمَرْأَةَ خُلِقَتْ مِنْ ضِلْعٍ، إِنْ ذَهَبْتَ أَنْ تُقِيمَهُ كَسَرْتَهَا، وَإِنْ تَرَكْتَهَا اسْتَمْتَعْتَ بِهَا وَفِيهَا عِوَجٌ

✧ Indeed the woman was created from a rib. If you go to straighten it, you will break her; and if you leave her, you may enjoy her though there is crookedness in her.
