حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ مُثَنَّى، نَا خَلَفُ بْنُ مُوسَى، نَا أَبِي، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ;

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was admonishing his companions when three people passed by. One of them came and sat with the Prophet ﷺ, the second went a little further then sat, and the third went on his way. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Shall I tell you about these three? As for the one who came and sat with us, he repented and Allah turned to him. As for the one who went a little further then sat, he was shy and Allah was shy of him. As for the one who went on his way, he was self-sufficient and Allah was self-sufficient of him.
