وَبِإِسْنَادِهِ ; قَالَ:

لَقِيَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَبَا ذَرٍّ، فَقَالَ: يَا أَبَا ذَرٍّ أَلَا أَدُلُّكَ عَلَى خَصْلَتَيْنِ، هُمَا خَفِيفَتَانِ عَلَى الظَّهْرِ وَأَثْقَلُ فِي الْمِيزَانِ مِنْ غَيْرِهِمَا ؟ قَالَ: بَلَى يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، قَالَ: عَلَيْكَ بِحُسْنِ الْخُلُقِ، وَطُولِ الصَّمْتِ، فَوَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ مَا عَمِلَ الْخَلَائِقُ بِمِثْلِهِمَا

Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ met Abu Dharr and said: O Abu Dharr, shall I not guide you to two traits that are light on the back and heavier in the scale than anything else? He said: Yes, O Messenger of Allah. He said: You must have good character and long silence. By the One in Whose hand is my soul, creation has not acted with the like of them.
