✧ We were forbidden in the Qur'an to ask the Messenger of Allah ﷺ anything. It pleased us when an intelligent man from the people of the desert came and asked him while we listened. A man from the desert came and said: 'Your messenger came to us and informed us that you claim that Allah, Blessed and Exalted, sent you.' He said: 'He spoke the truth.' He said: 'Who created the heaven?' He said: 'Allah.' He said: 'Who created the earth?' He said: 'Allah.' He said: 'Who set up the mountains?' He said: 'Allah.' He said: 'Who placed benefits in them?' He said: 'Allah.' He said: 'Then by the One who created the heaven, created the earth, set up the mountains, and placed benefits in them, did Allah send you?' He said: 'Yes.' He said: 'Your messenger claimed that five prayers are due on us every day and night.' He said: 'He spoke the truth.' He said: 'Then by the One who sent you, did Allah command you with this?' He said: 'Yes.' He said: 'Your messenger claimed that zakah is due on our wealth.' He said: 'He spoke the truth.' He said: 'Then by the One who sent you, did Allah command you with this?' He said: 'Yes.' He said: 'Your messenger claimed that fasting a month in our year is due on us.' He said: 'He spoke the truth.' He said: 'Then by the One who sent you, did Allah command you with this?' He said: 'Yes.' He said: 'Your messenger claimed that pilgrimage to the House is due on whoever is able to make a way to it.' He said: 'He spoke the truth.' He said: 'Then by the One who sent you, did Allah command you with this?' He said: 'Yes.' He said: 'By the One who sent you, I will not add anything to them nor subtract anything from them.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'If he is truthful, he will surely enter Paradise.'
