حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، نَا عُمَرُ بْنُ أَبِي خَلِيفَةَ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا بَدْرٍ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، قَالَ:

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ جَالِسًا فِي حَلْقَةٍ، فَأَرَادَ الْقِيَامَ، فَقَامَ غُلَامٌ فَنَاوَلَهُ نَعْلَهُ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: أَرَدْتَ رِضَاءَ رَبِّكَ، ؓ، فَكَانَ لِذَلِكَ الْغُلَامِ نَحْوًا فِي الْمَدِينَةِ، حَتَّى اسْتُشْهِدَ

Translation

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ was sitting in a circle, and he wanted to get up. A boy stood up and handed him his sandals. The Messenger of God ﷺ said: You sought the pleasure of your Lord, ؓ. And that boy had a similar standing in Madinah until he was martyred.
