✧ There was a man among the Ansar who was ill. The Prophet ﷺ came to visit him but met him in the market, so he greeted him and said, “How are you, O so-and-so?” He said, “I am well, O Messenger of God.” He said, “I hope for God and fear my sins.” The Messenger of God ﷺ said, “They do not come together in the heart of a servant in this situation except that God grants him what he hopes for and secures him from what he fears.”
