حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى بْنِ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ مُوسَى: نَا خَالِدُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ: نَا حُمَيْدٌ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ إِنْ شَاءَ اللهُ قَالَ:
مَرَّ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بِحَبْلٍ مَمْدُودٍ، فَقَالَ: مَا هَذَا الْحَبْلُ؟" قَالُوا: فُلَانَةُ تُصَلِّي، فَإِذَا غُلِبَتْ أَخَذَتْ بِهِ، قَالَ: "لِتُصَلِّي مَا عَقَلَتْ، فَإِذَا غُلِبَتْ فَلْتَنَمْ

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed by a rope stretched out and said: “What is this rope?” They said: “So-and-so prays, and when she is overcome she holds onto it.” He said: “Let her pray as long as she is alert, and when she is overcome let her sleep.”
