نَاهُ زُهَيْرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، نَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، وَاللَّفْظُ لَفْظُ عُقَيْلٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ;

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ said one day to his companions: "A man from the people of Paradise will enter from here." Ma'mar said in his hadith: "His beard dripping water from the ablution he had performed, carrying his sandals." Then Sa'd entered. He said that twice, and each time Sa'd came. When Abd Allah b. Amr heard that, he went with him that night and said: "O uncle, there was some talk between me and Amr, so I wanted to spend the night with you." He said: "Yes, O son of my brother." So Abd Allah spent the night with him, and Sa'd slept. When he woke during the night, he remembered God. When morning came, he got up, performed ablution, prayed two rak'ahs, and then went out to the prayer. He did that for three nights, not adding anything to it. When morning came on the third day, Abd Allah said to him: "By God, there was nothing between me and Amr except good, but I heard the Messenger of God ﷺ say to you: 'A man from the people of Paradise will enter,' so I wanted to know what your deed was." Sa'd said to him: "It is only what you have seen, O son of my brother, except that I do not spend the night bearing malice toward any Muslim," or words to that effect.
