حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، قَالَ: نَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ، قَالَ: نَا سُفْيَانُ. وَحَدَّثَنَا يُوسُفُ بْنُ مُوسَى، قَالَ: نَا وَكِيعٌ، قَالَ: نَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ ؓ قَالَ:

قُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، أَلَا أَدُلُّكَ عَلَى أَحْسَنِ فَتَاةٍ فِي قُرَيْشٍ ؟ قَالَ: عِنْدَكَ شَيْءٌ ؟ قُلْتُ: نَعَمْ، بِنْتُ حَمْزَةَ، قَالَ: تِلْكَ ابْنَةُ أَخِي مِنَ الرَّضَاعَةِ يَا عَلِيُّ، أَمَا عَلِمْتَ أَنَّ اللهَ حَرَّمَ مِنَ الرَّضَاعَةِ مَا حَرَّمَ مِنَ النَّسَبِ.

✧ I said: O Messenger of Allah, shall I point you to the most beautiful young woman in Quraysh? He said: Do you have someone? I said: Yes, the daughter of Hamza. He said: She is the daughter of my brother through suckling, O Ali. Did you not know that Allah has made forbidden through suckling what is forbidden through lineage?
