وَحَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ السُّكَّرِيُّ، نَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، نَا أَيُّوبُ بْنُ عُتْبَةَ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ:

مَثَلُ صَاحِبِ الْقُرْآنِ مَثَلُ الْإِبِلِ الْمُعَقَّلَةِ، إِنْ عَقَلَهَا صَاحِبُهَا حَبَسَهَا، وَإِنْ أَطْلَقَهَا ذَهَبَتْ

✧ The example of the one who has the Qur'an is like that of hobbled camels: if their owner ties them, he keeps them; but if he lets them loose, they wander off.
